Soul Golden Moments Of The Eighties
Womack & Womack

... well, I have long struggled with whether I love this youth at all times from the shelf as they prefer to listen to the last 28 years (shit, I'm old!) has survived.

Joe has once again contributed to gentle pressure, but now that I've beaten one night with Mr. and Mrs. Womack to the ears ...

Surprisingly, just the oldest Womack & Womack album the time it is best to take. Love Wars of 1983, I would really a "classic" mean. Of course, suffers from this LP (as almost all 80-productions) in penetrating nasty synths and drum sounds, but the songs are mostly really great and the whole thing does have a lotta soul. Due to the unusual arrangements (both voices and instruments), the two had at that time a rather unique sound.
(Cecil Womack is the brother of Bobby Womack and the husband (and uncle) by Linda Womack, who is the daughter of Sam Cooke ...)

album No.2 Radio MUSC Man (1985) has almost over all the strengths of Love Wars, also quite homogeneous in quality, but the quality of the songs is not enough to even approach so entirely at's debut - but as a collective work still the most contemporary productions far superior .

What the two of them were going with album number three ( Starbright ) I can now so do not even understand: hideous cover, ugly clothes that disappeared so typical percussion sounds almost completely horrible Bumm-splash-Drumming (by James Gadson ?!?), really terrible keyboard carpets, lame songs (the only one is reasonably suited by Bobby Womack) and an obscure single release (Soul Love / Soul Man). Because although the brothers singing Womack (The Valentinos) but with the whole thing is so stupid fed shoots with synth sounds that I did not long endure. ... Away with it!

Album Number Four: Whether Mr. and Mrs. Womack had noticed as well, which had botched it last put down? Conscience (1988) has revived the old levels, production (Compass Point), Chris Blackwell's finger, the very expensive bigotry is missing this time, beautiful atmospheric, rather quiet songs that sounds relatively timeless - the CD can also Listen with your ears 2011er-good!
The second page begins with the hit Teardrops , of the two has probably saved the pension. Celebrate The World (last song of the LP) was then probably a return Chuck (... and a crap song !)
Otherwise, a relatively nice drive - also in the look-up! (You may not make a keyboard allergy) What spoils the whole thing has me a little was the fact that has dragged the couple's extensive children's band both on record sleeves like on stage. W & W I have seen live this year and I was thoroughly ashamed of strange!

... and just start with these families grits W & W also their fifth album. Children's laughter in the intro to Family Spirit - It's even a bit intrusive? Most hardly relevant - and also already in the nineties.

At some point they renamed all ( Transformation To The House Of Zekkariyas ) and dressed in flowing robes. Since then I have somehow lost patience and desire - please forgive me ....

Conclusion:
Love Wars
- actually a Golden Soul Moment Of The Eighties (if you like's to mind),
Radio MUSC Man
- is fit
Conscience - better than its reputation

(.... and now I hear the Excellos around my ears again been dusted freizubekommen that Päärchen pack for the next 28 years back, and make final conclusion on this issue! Promised)
